I count 30 pigs. If I conservatively estimate that it would take 5 .223 rounds a pig, it would take 150 shots to eradicate this particular group of feral hogs. Really what we need is an Apache attack helicopter or a bunch of machine guns.

Or, you could shoot one per day with a single shot rifle... but at the rate they would reproduce so fast you would fall behind and would soon be pig food.
or, you could be a pig farmer - if you can't whup em join em...

We spend a lot of time and money fixing fences that pigs mess up. These pigs probably got through five fences to get to where they are in the picture. And normal barbed wire wouldn't work, even for a little while.
most people in the city are far removed from reality, deeply buried in false "human made" realities. it contributes to a lot of their ill conceived views about life and the ability of humans to change humanity, the world, and the universe.

Why not just put up a good fence?

first, texas is criss-crossed with fence and the pigs are everywhere and multipling fast.
second, the pigs are very smart and can get thru or under all but the best fences and gates. good fence on acreage gets pretty expensive.
third, they are already everywhere.
last, they are very destructive to pasture land, fence, water sources, and other animals (indigenous and agricultural).
